Acacia Riding Adventures is a full-service equine facility, with an attentive, capable staff to assist with all of your needs.

Horse Training & Riding Lessons ~

♦ Perhaps you’d like to try something new with your horse and don’t know how to begin?

ARA is the place to learn!

As a lifelong horseman, with over 20 years training horses, Dacodah Herkenhoff specializes in trail training, gentling problem horses and turning them into model citizens.

We can visit your facility or bring your horse to ours. Here, you can ride one of our horses while we work with your horse on our trails. Watch and witness the transformation under saddle as we gently expose your horse to the excitement of new experiences and trail riding adventures.

We offer trail riding lessons for you, too!

Improve your skills on our horses, or one of your own.  We’re out there, every weekend. Come along for the ride and we’ll happily teach you a trick, or two.

Farrier Services ~

ARA has a resident farrier serving the central New Mexico area.

Reliable, professional, and affordable, his experience includes corrective shoeing and performance shoeing in all disciplines.

Horse Boarding ~

What makes us unique? Just take a look around!

Miles and miles of beautiful trails begin right at the gate of the ARA property.  No time wasted, transporting your horses to trail heads, in order to enjoy a leisurely ride.

On-site management ensures that your horses are lovingly cared for 24/7.  Twice daily feeding of the best alfalfa is provided for each horse ~ in addition to any grains, supplements and medications you provide for your horse’s needs.

We offer open corrals and pasture boarding in the winter months.  We also provide exercise programs to keep your horse in great shape when you are unable to ride.

The biggest perk for boarding at ARA? Every single day we’re out there riding the trails. And, we encourage our boarders to join us on all of our rides. Just imagine… always having a few friends to ride with…
